Supporting earthquake relief and raising awareness of plastic pollution
“Flags for Future” is a sustainable art project featuring limited-edition artist flags made from upcycled plastic waste. Taking inspiration from the unifying power of art, “Flags for Future” aims to reinterpret flags as a canvas for unity, collective thought, and artistic expression. Launched initially in 2020 to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the marine environment, 10% of proceeds go to Parley for the Oceans and Turmepa (Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association). In the wake of the devastating impact of the recent earthquakes, ISTANBUL’74 & UTÖPIA will donate their share of the “Flags For Future” project to reputable organizations working tirelessly to aid and assist those affected and support survivors in rebuilding their lives.
